Ruby is a consummate professional with extensive experience in event production and marketing. She studied in the heart of London, England at City University, where she graduated in 2002 as a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Media Communication Systems. This led her to a career with various communication agencies, where she became proficient in project management for digital marketing and integrated campaigns. She successfully delivered projects for HSBC, Disney, British Airways, IKEA and British Telecom.

Since moving to Toronto in 2009, she launched an event management company and has delivered a variety of different corporate events including multi-city symposiums (Toronto, Kingston, Waterloo, London, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver), outdoor festivals, award ceremonies, fundraising galas and launch events to name a few. Her clients include Kraft Canada, Queen’s University, TD and Radisson as well as numerous non-profit organisations around the Greater Toronto Area.

Ruby is an active member of the community and was previously appointed Chair of the Young Professionals committee and Events committee for the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce. Within a year of her involvement she was presented with the ‘Member of the Year’ award as a result of her commitment and contribution to their events. Subsequently, she became an elected Board Director serving as Director of Events for two years. During this time, Ruby successfully initiated the Chamber’s first ever women’s event in support of International Women’s Day and spearheaded the overall strategy for getting more women involved with the organisation.

In 2018, Ruby was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards and in 2020 was a finalist for the Event Professional of the Year award by the the Canadian Event Industry Awards. Actively involved in volunteer projects, Ruby has served on the board as VP of Programming & Events for the American Marketing Association (Toronto) and currently serves as the VP of Marketing & Communications for the International Live Event Association (Toronto Chapter). She also volunteers for the Sikh Foundation of Canada and their annual Sikh Centennial Gala. Ruby is passionate about digital marketing and the event industry as well as the empowerment of women.
